In addition to earning 20+ years of expeirencing growing up working for his father's landscaping company, Gerard had the privilege of growing up in a family of firefighters, watching those he loved serve others proudly and selflessly. These role models who he consider to be his heros have instilled in him the drive to be the dedicated firefighter, husband, and father he is today. 

These values are exemplified in the way he approaches each and every job, and the trust and commitment he maintains with his crew.
